Year 1 celebrate Red Nose Day
Year 1 started Red Nose Day with an informative assembly, learning about how the money we raise help others. A young boy called Farhad, who had to leave his home because of a war, is just one child we learnt had been helped by Comic Relief. Collaborating together, we sequenced his story and thought about the struggles and hardships he would have been through. We decided that words like 'desperate', 'solemn' and 'terrified' described Farhad's 'plight'. We also decided that we were very 'fortunate'. Well done Year 1.
Thank you for your donations and the amazing red, backwards outfits - you looked great!
