HPS Year 4 Public Speaking Success!

Two teams of speakers from Year 4 last week travelled to Awliscombe to take part in the Youth Speaks public speaking competition against schools from across the learning community. The standard was incredibly high across the board and the speeches were well-researched, well-rehearsed and impressively delivered in front of an audience of other children, Head Teachers, parents and judges! Both of our teams performed wonderfully and did themselves proud!

It is even more of a triumph that, in such a close contest, one of our Year 4 teams placed first and left with the Youth Speaks cup. A huge well done to all of our participating children for a superb team spirit and all the hard work they put in in the journey to the competition.
