Who knew mummification and mummifying tomatoes could be so interesting?

Year 4 came together to learn about how ancient Egytians treated people after they died.  They learnt that they believed in the afterlife and how their bodies would travel with their soul there, but only after they had been preserved and mummified!

(this is where the gruesome part began!) - If you see a Year 4, please do ask them about how ancient egypytians mummified their relatives!

We weren’t so gruesome and instead spent some time working in trios (surgeon, hygienist and embalmer) to mummify a tomato!  We can’t wait to see the results when we return after half term!
