Today we have been very lucky to have Simon from the Devon Air Ambulance come and visit us all at Honiton Primary School.  He explained the important role of air ambulances.

He taught us all why, in some accidents, helicopters are better for the patients including: getting to the patient quicker, landing in difficult places including beaches and on Dartmoor and helping the patient get to the hospital quicker. 

Did you know there are two bases in Devon and they can reach anyone in the county within 10 minutes? 

The children asked lots of interesting questions and learnt so much!
