Let's Talk Bullying In Year 3...

Last week at HPS was Anti-Bullying week. We talked lots about what bullying meant, what it looked like and how you could get help or help others if needed. This afternoon we continued our learning on the subject...

We 'bullied' a piece of paper! We said unkind words, screwed it up, scrunched it and stamped on it repeatedly. As we unfolded it we apologised profusely and paid it lots of compliments; the paper was never the same 'perfect' piece as before. We learned that unkind words and actions are harmful and that the creases that are created can never be smoothed out. We talked lots about how compliments can make people feel and how it is important to be there for one another. We turned our crumpled pieces into compliment fortune tellers and used them to put smiles on everyone's faces :)
