When we get messy outdoors we are learning so many things ....We are being scientists -  exploring mixtures, investigating water, developing understanding of growth. We are mathematicians - exploring capacity, counting, investigating shapes around us. We are working together, collaborating, sharing, taking turns, organising our games. We are extending our physical development - balancing, clambering, throwing, pouring. We are talking, listening, compromising. And if that isn't enough we are enjoying being in the fresh air surrounded by nature - Bliss!
