Accelerated Reader (AR) is a computer program that helps teachers monitor and manage children’s independent reading practice. Children choose books at their own level, read them at their own pace and then, when finished, quiz on the book. Feedback provided from the quiz allows the child and the teacher to choose new books, discuss strategies for reading etc…

They will need their login and password. If they cannot remember this please speak to your child's teacher in order to provide. 

Renaissance Home Connect

You can be involved with your child’s progress through Renaissance Home Connect. By joining Home Connect you can –

• View all books that your child has read and the quizzes that they have taken.
• Access the online search tool – AR Book Finder to search for books using various search criteria, including author, subject or reading level.
• Receive emails that will show you the results of Reading practice Quizzes when your child takes them.

Please speak to your child's teacher to get more information detailing how you can get set up with Renaissance Home Connect. 

Also, click here to access your child's accelerated reader account so you can see the books read and quizzed on. The same login and password that your child uses at school will work at home. If your child cannot remember their login and password please contact their class teacher.
