Remote learning (January/February 2021)
Have a look at this week's timetable to see what we have planned this week. We are trying to reflect a normal week in school as much as possible.
We will be uploading videos and accompanying resources for your child to do at home. We will make sure these are on the website by 6pm the evening before so you have time to plan how it will work best for you. We understand the difficulties of doing this whilst also working from home but appreciate you doing whatever you can.
We were so looking forward to seeing you after the holidays and really miss you! Please send in photos of the learning you do to admin@honiton-pri.devon.sch.uk or keep hold of it to show us when we can open again.
Thank you for your support and we can't wait to see you again soon!

Here are some activities for your child to complete if they are isolating. These reflect the learning that is happening within the classroom. We hope you enjoy completing these activities, if you wish to share what you have completed then you can email photos to admin@honitonprimary.co.uk.
We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school in September. To help make this a smooth transition for all of our children, we have made some resources for you to look through and complete with your child. The story 'Safe in school' may be helpful if your child is feeling anxious about the return to school. We have made a shorter story as well, called 'Going back to school', that your child might prefer. There is also a 'Meet the teacher' document, a video from your child's new teacher, and a list of the new rules that we will be helping the children to follow in September. The week before school starts, we will be adding a video tour of your child's new classroom and key areas of the school to this page. Have a lovely summer, and we can't wait to see you all soon!
To get ready for a new school year and new class projects, please check out our 'Summer Home Learning' tab.
Here you will find our recommended reading lists, your first project:'Wriggle and Crawl Home Learning' and information about how to access 'Doodle Maths' and 'Doodle Spell'.
Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to hearing about the fun you have had.
While schools are closed, we will be uploading a home learning challenge sheet on this page on Friday for the following week. Please can your child then have a go at the challenges set. If they keep all of their work together, they can then bring it all back into school when we open again. Please see the letter regarding remote learning for more information.
Although challenging, it is crucial that they try to do this on a weekly basis so that they keep 'ticking over'. We will also endeavour to post videos to support their learning.
Below, there are some key websites that you may also find useful during this time.
Many thanks for your help and support in these unprecedented times and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
