HPS Race for Life
What a fantastic time we had at HPS yesterday.
Across the day, every year group came out for half an hour and ran, walked, jumped, skipped, cartwheeled, crawled and made their way around the field as many times as they could. Every lap counted towards our challenge to make it all the way from Land's End to John O'Groats. In case you were wondering, we did it!!!
Whilst doing so, we were running for anyone and everyone who has been affected by cancer. Every single child (and member of staff!) did an INCREDIBLE job. We were blown away by the enthusiasm, the effort, the collaboration, the encouragement and the perseverance shown by all of our children. Proud doesn't even cover it.
A few thank yous must be said...
Thank you to the parents, family members and friends who sponsored us - totals to follow soon!
Thank you to our wonderful PTFA ladies who supported the event with ice pops, words of encouragement and brilliant organisation.
Thank you to Letts Party who kindly donated super balloon stands to make crossing the finish line after each lap even more special.
Thank you to Mrs Ayres and Mr Watson for counting our miles, cheering us on and running the event so smoothly and efficiently.
Lastly, but most importantly, thank you to the children; you are all superstars.
Well done HPS!
Miss Sansom :-)
