What an amazing week in key stage 1 we have had. All of the children have worked incredibly hard and 8 of our children have received certificates to show that! Have a look at the pictures to see what they got their certificate for! Special mention to Miss Wilton’s class who had 20 children read at least 5 times this past week, this means they will get an extra turn on our climbing frame next week!

On that note please make sure you are trying to listen to your child read at least 5 times in a week! This doesn’t have to be the whole book every night, a couple of pages, 5 minutes while you are making tea or just before bed. The opportunity to read more often will have a massive positive impact on your child’s learning. Try and listen to your child read and just write ‘read’ in their yellow reading record so they are in with a chance of getting a prize for revved up for reading, help their class have another turn on the climbing frame and, most importantly, you will help with your child’s learning journey.
