In nursery we like to encourage independence as we want children to take ownership of their learning. Today we needed to make an envelope for some art so I got out the stapler! I showed the children how to use the stapler carefully and safely - palms on top of stapler with fingers up and press! The children followed the instructions beautifully and kept themselves (their fingers!) safe. Well done nursery children!
