In Nursery we like to follow children's interests and provide activities based on their play. Last week the children were playing cake shops and chatted about their favourite cakes, so today we made a chocolate cake! The children mixed, took turns, cracked eggs, licked fingers (then washed fingers) made icing, licked fingers again 😅, spread icing, counted how many pieces we needed and knew we needed more when Mrs G cut the cake into four pieces, and then ate cake! It was yummy!
