Have you every wondered how you became numerate?! Much of the maths we use in our lives revolves around patterns within number and number systems. In EYFS, we provide our children with rich and exciting ways to explore the basics of pattern; including shape, colour and size. Over time, the idea of a repeating or changing pattern is transferred to the number system.
