Each term, myself and my RSE/PSHE subject governor meet to review the impact of my action plan across the school. One of the best ways of doing this is to talk to the children about their learning. From Reception to Years 5 & 6, we dig deep to evaluate the children’s understanding of the teaching they have received. All of the children we spoke to were brilliant and had a secure understanding of how to stay staff, the importance of healthy relationships and how the skills they learn at school can be transferred into their everyday lives. It was also encouraging to see how embedded the HPS Growth Guides are across the school. These guides focus on learning behaviours and social skills that underpin every child’s learning at HPS.
