Sometimes, the best learning happens with the most simple of resources. This morning we gave the children a large piece of cardboard with a road network pre-drawn on to it. We then provided some pens, toy cars, house blocks and small world accessories. Stepping back and watching the children interpret these resources was fascinating. As educators, we skilfully go into this developed play and layer language, reading, maths and writing for each child based on their individual next steps of learning. EYFS practise in practise!
