Sorting states of matter in Year 4

Today, we have been applying our worldly knowledge and what we learnt about the differences between solids, liquids and gases in our lesson yesterday. In pairs, we discussed whether a selection of everyday materials were solids, liquids or gases before committing them to paper in a  labelled table. The definitions we learnt in the previous lesson helped us decide. Next week, we shall be predicting and accurately measuring the temperature of hot and cold water.
