Year 3 - Work, Work, Work, Work, Work!!!

It was so lovely to be able to see those children that joined us today in our live session together.  Seeing everyone's lovely, smiley faces was great to see instead of just staring at a computer screen!  Next week, there is the option to join us on 3 live sessions so hopefully see some of you there!

Alongside seeing people today, I have also been sent in a lot of learning from different children across the year group.  This week was our Big Write week where the children have been writing a diary recount as if they were a city dweller in Pompeii when Mount Vesuvius erupted.  I have honestly been blown away by the skills that these writers have been able to use with ease!  We've seen fronted adverbials, expanded noun phrases, a range of sentence types, rhetorical questions, informality, personification, paragraphing....THE LIST GOES ON!  These definitely need to be celebrated alongside all the other learning that has also been completed.

Have a little look through the gallery and if you can, have a read of some of their writing because it truly is astonishing that children at 7 years old are writing like this!

The new weekly timetable for next week is all ready for you alongside the resources and videos for Monday.  Have a fabulous weekend and I can't wait to see what next week brings
