Year 4 - Is it fair?

This afternoon we had a great time conducting a science experiment, but ensured it was fair. We were looking at the viscosity of different liquids and measured the speed in which it took them to travel down the ramp into the bucket.  The liquids we used were: water, milk, washing up liquid and tomato ketchup.

We we knew a lot about conducting a fair test and were able to share the importance of keeping things the same (the non-variables) and also why we should test each liquid (variable) a minimum of 3 times.

Tomorrow we will be looking at the results, learning about averages and writing up what we noticed in our results.
