Year 4 - Match it!

This morning we were introduced to our new vocabulary in preparation for writing our own suspense story.

We came up with actions for them, worked with a partner to match up the definitions and have a go at using them in context.  Some of a even went to check in the dictionary to see if they had done it correct.

Some of our sentences included:

“The curious child walked slowly up to the imposing school, fearful of what was going to meet him on the other side of the door.”

“The peculiar smell lingered in the air as I walked along the corridor.”
