Year 4 - Particle Problems!
Today, we have started our science learning and been looking at what makes a solid, liquid and gas. We addressed many misconceptions of what actually makes each of the states of matter and even became particles ourselves around the room.
Did you know a solid can be held, they keep their shape and the particles are tightly compacted together?
A liquid can flow and be poured and it can change shape depending on the container it is in, however the volume always stays the same!
Lastly, did you know a gas can spread out, change shape and fill up whatever they are in?
We had a go at making visual reminders of what the particles in each of the states looked like. What do you think?
