This afternoon, Year 5 started their Pharaohs project with a little bit of mummification. Don't worry, we didn't use any bodies! Instead, we explored the process and then recreated this using tomoatoes. We began by cleaning them and then removed all of the insides before submerging them in salt to dry them out. We had great fun doing this and also enjoyed learning about the steps taken by the Ancient Egyptians; our favourite one was the removal of the brain via the nose using a long hook!
