The new Year 6 have made a fantastic start to the year so far. The sense of being at 'the top of the school now' has really seemed to sink in and we have seen marvellous focus, engagement, manners and effort over the last two days.

During this time we have launched into establishing our year group ethos, culture and expectations. Our HPS Growth Guide focus is Collaboration. We have taken part in team and partner challenges where pupils have had to take turns in leading, listening following instructions, problem solving, cooperating and contributing.

We have also researched our class names the - the Yews and the Sycamores - and linked the idea of these fascinating species of British tree to the ethos of the growth guide. A splendid start indeed!!
