Monday began with an early start to school so that we were at the train station on time to journey to Exeter 🚂 , which, in itself, was a new experience for many of us! There was a long walk through the cathedral and alongside the city walls before we made it to Haven Banks - our location for canoeing where we would overcome our fears, learn new skills and find out just how important it was to collaborate in order to paddle the canoes down the canal successfully 🛶... we won’t mention the numerous close encounters with riverbanks and hedgerows though! 😂

And as if the paddle splashes and water fights didn’t soak some of us enough, the excitement continued when the chance came to jump into the canal at the end too ... it wasn’t to everyone’s liking and so some simply sat on dry land to encourage and cheer on those that decided to embrace the challenge head-on!! 🤩

What an absolutely fantastic day, full of treasured memories 🤗
