Have you ever wondered the average distance of how far a Spitfire can travel? Well, this afternoon, Year 6 investigated that very question. Of course we were unable to use real Spitfires (unfortunately!) so instead, we made our own mini Spitfire gliders. From here, we measured the distance travelled three times and then calculated the mean to find the average distance. Much fun was had by all!
