  • Medal haul at the Olympics!

    Sat 29 Jun 2019
What an amazing day of athletics at the final sporting event of the cluster calendar - KS2 Mini Olympics. There was excitement, adrenaline, determination and teamwork in abundance. The long day saw the children put every ounce of effort in to their running, jumping and throwing events. Their incredible efforts led to the team earning 9 Gold medals 🥇, 8 Silver medals 🥈 and 5 Bronze medals 🥉. And with a total of 632 points, finishing in 2nd place overall 👏🏻👍🏻. We couldn’t be prouder of each and everyone of you 🌟. Thank you and well done on a simply brilliant day. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️☀️😎
  • Nursery exploring movement

    Fri 28 Jun 2019
The children were very interested in how to create movement today. They explored moving apples down the guttering - did they go faster if we added water? They explored moving the plank by balancing on the ends and walking along the plank which involved lots of collaboration and team work. Then they discovered that they could make objects move by jumping on the plank! This resulted in lots of giggling as the dinosaur jumped up off the plank! Super fun learning, developing an understanding of scientific and mathematical concepts through open ended child led play!
  • Nursery Writing

    Fri 28 Jun 2019
Some of the children have been learning to recognise their names, and copy some of the letters. In Nursery our children are confident to 'have a go' as we praise effort rather than end result, and you can see how the children tackle this task in different ways - some make marks, some write letter shapes, some draw around their name and others draw shapes - all these children have demonstrated mark making skills and an ability to control the pen which are early writing skills 🙂

After these valuable life lessons, we took a tour around the donkey sanctuary itself.
