  • Year 1 journaling

    Thu 22 Oct 2020
As we come to the end of our Enchanted Woodland project it is time to look at all of our learning and start to present it in our special new SOLE books. We put our journaling skills to practise by cutting, backing, laying it all out and glueing. We even learnt a new way of sticking by using a flap to layer our work. It looks amazing and we can’t wait to see it all finished!
  • Maths in nature

Thu 22 Oct 2020 The Reception Team
In EYFS we believe that Maths happens all around us...it is everywhere! Today we looked to create repeating pattens in the woods. Proud ❤️
  • More Year 3 Outdoor Learning Adventures!

Thu 22 Oct 2020 Miss Wright
Some more fabulous photos from Year 3's outdoor learning yesterday. We collected natural materials to bring back to the classroom and create artwork of predators. Some of them are pretty scary so be brave and see if you can identify the animals!
  • Fun in Year1

    Wed 21 Oct 2020
This week, the children worked hard in their independent challenge time: looking after animals in the rescue centre, testing what natural materials sink or float and weighing out the woodland items to compare how heavy they were.
  • The love of learning!

Wed 21 Oct 2020 The Reception Team
In these difficult times it only takes one photo to lift your spirits. Pringle goggles, EYFS style! ❤️
  • Year 3 - Outdoor Learning Adventures

Wed 21 Oct 2020 The Year 3 Team

Despite the weather, Year 3 went outdoors and explored how nature can inspire art.  They enjoyed questioning and considering different natural materials and thinking about how they could be utilised to create a predator.

After lots of exploration and collection around the school site, they returned to the classroom to create some great pieces of art.

Have a look through our gallery - Can you guess what animal they have created?

  • Nursery - Learning through play!

    Wed 21 Oct 2020
We have had a wonderful week of exploring, wondering, working together and playing!
  • Nursery, it's never too early to learn journaling skills!

    Wed 21 Oct 2020
Although we do not have individual SOLE books in Nursery, we do have a class book. Today the children were fascinated by the paper cutter I was using to cut the photos and were keen to have a go! Great physical and listening skills were needed to cut the paper in the right place!
  • Year 4 learn rich new vocabulary!

    Tue 20 Oct 2020

In English in year 4 we have started to look at poetry. Today we learnt and explored 6 rich vocabulary words: memorise, curse, hazard, concoction, sizzling and transform. As a class we matched the vocabulary to their meanings and came out with some actions to help us remember! What a great lesson- well done year 4!
