Year 2, like the other year groups are focusing on football this half term. The sessions delivered to each year group are designed for all children of all abilities to progress.

Year 2 showed some excellent skills today when they were given some ball control challenges. The smiles on their faces show not only they were having fun but every child participating in the lesson. Check out some of their close control.

Thank you to all of you who managed to come and visit our Egyptian Museum this afternoon - we had a great turnout and really enjoyed sharing our learning with you!

We all feel super organised and ready to stick all of Gods & Mortals learning next week! We really enjoy making our SOLE books the best that they can be. 

Year 2 have been busy learning to recognise the value of different notes and coins, and exploring different ways of making a given amount. 

The children independently chose to play skittles and pop up pirate. They sorted out how to take turns and used their maths skills to count swords and to record many skittles were knocked over. Brilliant learning! What games do you like playing at home? 

After working incredibly hard on our experiments, My Lynch from Colyton Grammar School rejoined us to share all of our amazing learning yesterday. We spent a long time planning, carrying out and evaluating our work. A huge well done to all of the teams and congratulations to the four groups chosen to represent HPS in the summer at Colyton's very own Science Fair. Check out some pictures from the event...

Year 3 have had an action packed finishing off afternoon. We are making sure we have finished all of our fantastic Greek learning before our new topic starts soon! We’ve had tables of Greek mosaics, mythical creature top trumps and designs of our very own incredible mythical creatures. We can’t wait to share our SOLE learning with you soon! 

Year 4 were treated to a sound workshop with teachers from Colyton. We learnt about sound and how it travels as well as making sound sandwiches which I’m sure you will enjoy listening to at home.
