On the last day of term, we had our second successful pancake club down in our school woods. A child from each class were chosen for outstanding behaviour this half term, showing our school values and world readiness! 

They enjoyed adding the batter to the pan over the firepit, eating their pancake and drinking hot chocolate to celebrate the hard work that they have shown.

Well done to these amazing children! Who will be our next outstanding learners for next term? 

Reception Christmas Stay & Play

Little Hippos had a great time exploring the PE equipment last Friday. They were brilliant at listening to safety rules, moving in different directions, balancing and jumping, and having a go at things they found difficult. Thank you Mr Watson for setting up the equipment for us. 

Now that we have reached the end of the term, it's time to announce our winners for DoodleMaths and DoodleSpell for both KS1 and KS2. These champion classes will each receive a trophy and a non-uniform day!

This term, Year 2 have really enjoyed learning a new instrument. We learned skills in beginning to read written music, make a nice sound on our instrument and keeping time to play along to a backing track. Our World Ready Pupil Council meets our local MP - Richard Foord

On Friday, our World Ready Pupil Council met our local MP for Honiton and Tiverton, Richard Foord. 

Our pupils shared not only their school council candidate speeches but also explained our World Ready Vision Circle, Character Growth Guide and our S.O.L.E. books. 

We had a fantastic discussion about British Values and the pupils were asked many questions about their newly adopted roles. 

Well done to our World Ready Pupil Council and thank you to our MP Richard Foord for coming in to meet the young leaders of the future!

What a wonderful Little Hippos stay and play we had on Friday. Thank you to the parents who came, it was lovely to see you all, and the children loved showing you where they like to play in Nursery. We hope you enjoyed the Christmas activities and mince pies, and don’t have too much glitter and icing stuck to your clothes!
