  • I am so proud of Year 1...

Fri 29 Nov 2019 Mr. Lopez
I would just like to thank all of the children and parents in Year 1 (and from across the school) who have welcomed me back into the fold this week! Working with our children over the week I am genuinely amazed at how far they have come in such a short space of time. Thank you Mrs. Pring and the Year 1 Team. I will be back in more and more over the next few weeks as we build up to Christmas.
  • Nursery- So much fun in the woods today!

    Fri 29 Nov 2019
What a wonderful morning spent in the woods! The nursery children climbed, jumped and swung their way through the forest. They worked as a team to help each other down the slippery slopes and splashed in some huge muddy puddles! They also found some biscuits hiding behind the trees and enjoyed tucking into a sweet snack whilst listening to a story. A perfect morning in the woods. 🌳
  • Year 4 - Vocabulary Lesson

Thu 28 Nov 2019 Miss McManus
We’ve started looking at our new vocabulary today and came up with actions for each of the words. We then went on to practise our dictionary skills and searched up their meaning; a tricky skill that we were resilient at.
  • Nursery - Forest school Friday!

    Thu 28 Nov 2019

A reminder that nursery children will be going to the forest tomorrow morning. Please can you send your child in with warm clothes suitable to get muddy and welly boots!

    Thank you 🌲🌳

  • Year 4 - Feature Detectives!

Wed 27 Nov 2019 Miss McManus
This morning we explored a range of information texts to explore the features that we would find in a non-chronological report.  We compared and looked for the similarities and differences that we could find. After comparing, we explored one text and looked in detail at the features present. These included: introductions, subheadings, paragraphs organised around a theme, technical vocabulary and more.  We enjoyed being detectives and now have lots of ideas to magpie for our own reports that we will write at the end of the block.
  • Coding in Year 1

    Tue 26 Nov 2019
Year 1 were computer geniuses and programmed on Scratch Jr to make a superhero fly across the sky. Not only did they customise the characters and background, but they made sure they had all the code they needed and even made their characters change direction, get bigger and smaller and keep going on a loop.
  • People who help us

Tue 26 Nov 2019 The Reception Team

Today we had a visit from a real firefighter in our EYFS. Fire officer Warren came to answer our questions, talk to us about his job and to give us the chance to see and handle some real fire fighting equipment. He talked to us about fire safety and even inspired some boys and girls to think about becoming a fire fighter when they grow up!

  • Nursery - Fire Fire!

    Tue 26 Nov 2019

We were very lucky today as we had a visit from firefighter Warren. He showed us the equipment he used to keep him safe, we even got to try on the helmet - it was very heavy!

    Thank you firefighter Warren!
