  • Reception - The 3 ‘M’s!

Tue 29 Sep 2020 The Reception Team
As an Early Years team we use what we call The 3 ‘M’s in all of our interactions with our children. The 3 ‘M’s stand for, Mark-Making, Making Conversation and Mathematics. Today’s nature inspired tough-spot activity highlights how all of these areas were explored by the children. Children writing labels and making mathematical drawings, children talking about colours, textures and the seasons and children grouping, sorting and counting objects. Play, sprinkled with the 3 ‘M’s, is a powerful learning model.

  • Year 5 Scream Machine

    Mon 28 Sep 2020 Year 5 Team
Year 5 have been very busy today exploring theme parks as we launched our new project 'Scream Machine'. The children were excited to use iPads to investigate and explore different theme parks, from Drayton Manor, Crealy and Alton Towers to Lego Land. They looked closely at the maps and compared the lay out of the parks. Interestingly, some had a helpful key but others didn't. The children are now enthused to create their very own theme park plan this week.
