A short Christmas message for the wonderful families of HPS.

Hi Year 4 - we've missed many of you being with us this week. We've come up with a little list of activities we thought would be lovely for you to complete over the holiday. Hi Nursery. We hope you enjoyed Thursday's remote learning activities. Head over to the teaching and learning tab for Friday's remote learning where you can learn how to sign 'twinkle twinkle little star' and make a Christmas star decoration. Merry Christmas 🎉⭐️🎄

This morning, Warlocks Class explored 3D shapes and the nets that make them.  They learnt how 2d shapes are the nets and then when folded, they can become 3 dimensional!

 

Polydron was used to help with today’s challenge of nets as well as straws and modelling clay when thinking about vertices and edges.

 

There was some great collaboration and making links with their learning which was great to see.

On behalf of all the staff at HPS I would just like to say 'thank-you' to all of our families who  have dug deep into their pockets to support our chosen charities this year. Even with the challenges that we have faced as a school community this term we still managed to raise over £700 to support Children in Need, Save the Children and Sports Relief!

This young lady has written a beautiful Christmas poem to brighten your spirits on this rainy day! What excellent rhyming and vocabulary :) All done with a broken wrist too - you trooper! Wishing you lots of well wishes and a very Merry Christmas x
