  • Year 2 - Flower Power!

    Tue 29 Jun 2021

In our project we have been looking at plants and the world. In science we learnt what plants need to grow and how different plants are suited to different climates. In geography we learnt about the 7 continents and what plants can grow on them. We studied where the equator line is and what the climate is like on this line. We also found out that the further you go from the equator the colder it is. Have a look at the pictures of our plants of the world collage!

  • Potion Commotion!

Tue 29 Jun 2021 The Reception Team

We had a very strange start to the week. We were paid a visit by Witch Betty who left us some ingredients and a set of instructions to make a magic potion in school! Pure rainwater, snow flakes and snot were just some of the items we mixed together! You should have seen it fizz! Mr. Lopez then read us Witch Betty’s story, ‘Potion Commotion’ about how her magic spell got out of hand and caused some big problems in her home town. We wonder what else this week has in store for us?!

  • Year 3 - Reflect and Improve!

Mon 28 Jun 2021 Miss McManus

For our English lesson today, the children chose a partner to work with and went through their writing from last week. They took the time to look at what they had done well and reflected upon what they needed to remember to include next time. Each child looked at each other’s writing and gave them supportive feedback on what they need to do to improve.

It was a great, productive lessons and the children learnt a lot from each other.

  • Year 3 - Rain won’t stop us!

Mon 28 Jun 2021 Miss McMans

Despite the bad weather, Year 3 still got to have fun in their morning PE lesson. We took the lesson inside and worked on our teamwork and defending skills through multiple turn-taking games. The 4 teams competed well and it was a close call, but in the end red time were victorious due to some very cunning and strategic play.

Great fun was had and our competitive and sportsmanship skills were developed.
