  • Race for Life Sponsorships

    Thu 23 Jun 2022

The Race for Life is fast approaching (Friday 1st July)!

We will be sending out a reminder next week regarding the event itself and what the children will need to wear.

Here is a reminder regarding the sponsorships:

Please ensure all sponsors are given in cash as we will collate all of the donations and then submit a school cheque to the Race for Life charity.

In terms of collecting sponsorship, this needs to be in school by Friday 24th June. All sponsorship money should be in a named, labelled envelope or bag and must be handed to your child’s teacher or directly to the office. Please also ensure that you return your child’s sponsorship form with your donations as this will enable the charity to claim for gift aid.

As you can see from the information from our original letter, we did hope to have all sponsors in school by tomorrow. Please try your best to collect your donations and bring them in tomorrow. We do appreciate, though, that things take longer than anticipated so as a final deadline, we really do need ALL sponsors in school by Friday 1st July

    Thank you so much,

Miss Sansom, Mrs Ayres and Mr Watson

  • Year 5 Maths Experts!

    Thu 23 Jun 2022 Year 5

This morning, Year 5 put both their mathematical skills and their explanation skills to the test. We had to explain to our robots (our partners!!) how to multiply mixed numbers by whole numbers. We soon found that it was trickier than it seemed and that clear instructions were key!

This was a great way to collaborate and to deepen our understanding.

Now, it’s time for a rest! 😉
